CM3 members volunteered to give tutorial on numerical methods to Columbia undergraduates who are participating in the MCM contest.

CM3 Tutorial

CM3 members, Prof.Du, Zirui Xu and Edith Zhang, were part of the volunteer team to help Columbia students preparing for the annual Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM). They offered tutorial on numerical methods to students, with topics ranging from general issues and basic ideas to specific algorithms and examples.

MCM has a strong focus on research, originality, teamwork, communication and justification of results.
