Images of phase field simulations selected for journal cover Phase field modeling and simulations have been subjects of our study over the years. One particular focus in the last decade has been on microstructure coarsening dynamics. Our works have been getting recognitions in recent years such as in the 2016 Gordon Bell prize competition. In 2017, the journal Computational Materials Science selected some images of our computational simulations for its cover page. The pictures (showing microstructure patterns, and displayed in the middle of the cover images) was from our paper: Fast and accurate algorithms for simulating coarsening dynamics of Cahn–Hilliard equations, 108(B), 272-282, Comp Mat.
